Viridian Mystery is an oil over acrylic painting incorporating scrap items for texture and interest including crushed glass, plaster, tissue over cardboard lids, dried paint shavings, beads, etc. It is a colorful organic combination creating an abstract biological underwater scene.
It is mind-blowing the chemical reactions that take place in the swamp and marsh. Louisiana, underneath those gorgeous swamps where the gators play is a big biological stew. It all somehow works together to support the multitude of life here. I enjoyed using the recycled items to create depth and structure.
