One of my favorite things to do here in Louisiana is to ride out to the lake in a boat. If you’ve ever been near the marsh here, you know that these huge majestic birds patrol the marsh as if they owned it, and I guess they do. When a few fly low to the ground expertly looking for fish, it sounds like a jet. They don’t scare off easily and will often perch on an old piling and give you the stare as you pass by, letting you know you are a guest.
