This was my first stylized piece. Before I was strictly painting in a hyper realistic style. It was commissioned by a client in the New Orleans area. She showed me several inspirational pieces and described a New Orleans courtyard tropical type garden as the subject. This is an oil painting on 36 x 48 inch gallery wrapped canvas. At the time I was using walnut oil with oil paints. Because of this, there are some hairline cracks on some of the corners of the painting. I think it adds to the character of the painting.
